Our Social Responsibility
We pride ourselves on our friendly and personalised approach to customer service along with our enthusiasm to our wider social responsibilities, where we make donations and sponsor events for various UK wide charities and care organisations.
Our team also take part in lots of fundraising events including sponsored walks, cycles, runs and we like to channel our inner star baker when we host our own Castle Bake Off to raise money for our chosen charity, Mary’s Meals.
We also take our environmental responsibilities seriously and we have an environmental management system that is fully accredited to ISO14001 standards.
We wanted to take our charitable commitments a step further though so for every sale we close, for every new customer that joins the Castle community, for every support call that we close and for every electronic invoice that we raise we make a donation of pre agreed amounts to Mary’s Meals who do tremendous work to provide daily school meals to some of the world’s poorest children.
This initiative not only aligns with our charitable ambitions but it also helps our team feel good about the work we do knowing that every activity is helping to relieve poverty for children throughout the world.
Look out for our fundraising activities on our social media channels!
What is Mary’s Meals and what does it do?
Mary’s Meals is a Scottish based charity which provides life-changing meals to in excess of 1 million of the world’s poorest children every school day.
It is a no-frills charity with a simple idea that works: by providing one good meal in a place of learning, children are drawn into the classroom where they can receive an education that could one day free them from poverty.
The vision is that every child receives one daily meal in their place of education. Working together, Mary’s Meals believes that this can be achieved in a world of plenty.
£13.90 is all it costs to feed a child for a whole school year!
We would be delighted if any of our customers or suppliers wanted to join us in our support for Mary’s Meals. Please contact Pat McTaggart for more information about how you can get involved.
