Angus Housing Association is moving to the cloud after choosing Castle Computer Services to deliver a hosted solution as part of an IT infrastructure upgrade.
All of Angus HA’s infrastructure, applications and services will be hosted in a Tier 3+ certified data centre, delivering robust business continuity and day-to-day flexibility for users.
Arlene Grant, Finance and Corporate Services Manager at Angus Housing Association, said:
“The move to a hosted service is part of an upgrade to our existing systems that was originally driven by a need to replace the legacy housing and finance management system, which no longer met our evolving needs. It will deliver greater efficiency and higher productivity, with robust disaster recovery built in.
“We will have the peace of mind that in the event of a failure of any kind our critical business systems can be up and running very quickly.
“Once the project has been completed, we expect to see a real improvement in the connectivity between our offices, minimising downtime and increasing productivity.”
George Strathie, Software and Services Director, Castle Computer Services, said:
“Angus Housing Association will realise significant efficiencies and flexibility that come with a move to hosting services off site in our private cloud. Our solution creates a secure high-performance IT infrastructure that incorporates the latest virtualisation and remote access technology to meet their specific needs. It brings confidence in business continuity and a significant return on investment.”
Angus Housing Association manages over 1,750 homes throughout Angus and in Dundee, from bedsits to 6 apartment houses.
