Cardowan Creameries upgrades to Opera 3
Case Study: Pegasus Opera
Cardowan Creameries was incorporated in 1930 and since that time has been manufacturing products that have set the standards for quality in the margarine industry.
The company supplies the bakery, catering and food processing sectors, from small businesses to major corporations and produces a wide range of products in accordance with its BRC (British Retail Consortium), RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil) and Kosher accreditations. Cardowan Creameries has helped to create highly respected brands that are trusted by food manufacturers and distributors throughout the UK, Ireland and the Continent.
Having been a user of Opera 2 for some years, the company took the decision to upgrade to the latest version of the accounting software, Opera 3.
Lesley McGhee, Finance Director, Cardowan Creameries, said:
“We had been served well by Opera 2 but wanted to take advantage of the added functionality and flexibility of Opera 3 and the guarantee of continued long term support from Castle.
“The new solution is immediately more user friendly with a Microsoft Office toolbar and allows us to export reports directly to Excel. The improvements made to the display of charts makes for much easier interpretation.
“Fast and relevant reporting, along with high quality management information that Opera 3 provides for us, are essential to running the business efficiently and effectively. Overall there are a number of enhancements to reporting in Opera 3 which make for greater flexibility in the systems and better informed decision making within the business. This helps us to consistently maintain the quality across our operations.
“With their diligent approach to the upgrade process, Castle ensured that the transition to Opera 3 was painless and required the minimum of downtime for us. They have always delivered a responsive high quality support service to meet our needs.”
