Dee Set Logistics is a leader in the provision of global retail supply chain solutions in the consumer goods sector.

With sales of over £100 million, the company provides merchandising, fulfilment, distribution, manufacturing and store development to many of the UK’s top retail groups.

The company wanted to introduce a new level of business reporting that would provide up-to-date data for each area of operations, with ease of use built in.

Dee Set chose Castle’s QlikView solution to meet their needs. IT Implementations Manager, Trudie Kent comments on the project:

“We process over 3,500 invoices and orders every week and wanted a system that would cope with this level of data and manage the sales process without taking processing power away from the main Microsoft Dynamics NAV system, which is also supported by Castle.

“QlikView has lived up to its promise and is now used as the main reporting system across the business, managing fulfilment and sales orders as well as finance and reconciliation of stock. It produces a new aged debtors/creditors report every day and the dashboard provides customer fulfilment and outbound logistics reports for directors which are refreshed every morning.

“Our HR team also find QlikView essential for up to date management of headcount, turnover, as well as timesheets and payroll.

“We now have visibility of key data within Microsoft Dynamics NAV at the click of a mouse and it doesn’t take processing power away from our main system. Reports can be adapted for every department across the business, meeting their specific needs and providing relevant information quickly, in an easy to read format. QlikView’s ability to talk to different software means that it seamlessly integrates with other sources of data.

“Our teams are able to make informed decisions quickly based on the easy availability of data. We can also restrict reports so that they can only been seen by appropriate users, so that our data always remains secure.

“We can now provide secure external access to our third party partners so that they can access a wide range of reports that are updated automatically every 8 hours. It’s a really efficient system and improves visibility for them as previously reports were sent once a day by email.

“We have worked with Castle for some time because they always listen to our requirements and then advise on the best solution for our own needs. Whenever we have a problem we know we can ask Castle and they will find the best way to solve it.”
